Name
Using clonal selection from the original stock this variety that belongs to the ancient Greco family (thought to have originated in Greece and brought here in the Etruscan epoch) has been significantly improved.
Features
Grechetto, which has always been part of the mixture of grapes making up Orvieto Classico, has excellent characteristics as to fruit, structure and balance. In 1997 we began to make a pure Grechetto - vinifying it in stainless steel tanks - and adding it to our range of wines in order to maintain our strong commitment to the characteristics of the Orvieto region.
Tasting notes
Our Grechetto is a light bodied wine. It has a delicate straw-yellow colour, an enticing nose, is well flavored and finishes with a fruity fragance.
Serving suggestion
It is a wine that perfectly complements simple dishes of fresh sea fish and crustaceans.
