Campo del Guardiano

Generations of local people have known this particular part of our estate as ‘The Warden’s Field’ and we have retained the name for the wine.
In order to ensure the best possible flavor and consistent quality we pay careful attention to the selection of the grapes during harvest, the vinification techniques we use, and the bottling and maturing process.
We age the bottled wine for 14 months by placing the bottles in a recumbent position in shelves in our tufa caves that were dug in Etruscan times immediately below an ancient grove of chestnut trees.
The resulting climatic conditions (constant temperature and humidity all year long) together with an absence of light and noise are ideal for maturing this classic wine.
Tasting notes
Campo del Guardino is a deep straw-yellow color highlighted with a soft green hue. It is a wine of remarkable depth and a continuous bouquet. The palate is soothed with a silky finish that does not diminish the full vibrant fruit that lingers.
Serving suggestion
This is a wine for complex dishes - it has the body to complement creative food and is particularly good with mussels, vongole, scampi and octopus.
